Paul has led the reward consulting services at Paydata over 20 years, advising FTSE 100/250, private equity and other UK businesses.
Paul’s HR career started out as a ‘talent spotter’ at Thorn EMI – working in job evaluation rather than signing new acts though! He then moved on to become Head of Reward at Thomas Cook, and spent 10 years there as the company’s global reward specialist.
Paul has created reward strategies based on a total reward approach that provide alignment between business strategy and reward, supporting the recruitment and retention of employees. He specialises in sector specific salary surveys, pay benchmarking, pay modelling, equal pay audits, employee opinion surveys, job evaluation, grading structures, executive reward, reward strategy and variable pay schemes.
Paydata started out as a spare room business, but we knew it would grow because there’s always a need for good reward management consultancy. For me, our job is about creating long-term relationships and making sure our customers get what they need to support their business decisions.
