“We are a well-established charity, but as many of our staff have been with us for some time our salary structure was very inconsistent with poor rationale around salary decision-making. As a small charity with very niche roles, it was difficult for us to know how our salaries compared with those for similar roles as we had a limited pool of comparable roles to refer to.
