A club salary survey is often the only way to get pay data for specialist roles or jobs employed in a specific sector. The people at PAYdata are experts in setting up and running club salary surveys and HR forums. Members of a survey club usually employ similar types of jobs or employ people in the same local labour market. At a business level they may be in competition with each other. They need a way of exchanging pay and benefits data that is both confidential and legal. We have created many of our clubs salary surveys ourselves. In other cases an existing club has outsourced their pay data collection needs to us. In every case we have created a bespoke solution to meet their needs. Club members usually meet during the year to exchange views. If they are in competition with each other it is very important that these forums meet certain rules. We have developed a draft constitution for HR Forums that sets out the “do’s and don’ts”.
How are your needs met?We believe that no one knows the jobs or the market better than the participants themselves. Whether working with a new or an existing group of employers we will usually form a working party to define the jobs to be included and the reports that are required. Based on this we will then develop the survey questionnaire. We have developed a flexible database to collect and analyse the data. This is usually modified to meet the needs of the group. In every case we produce a personalised report for each company. This shows how their pay compares to the market. You choose when to receive your report, and you update your pay data after your annual review. This means the database always has the latest pay data. The Benefit: Up-to-date salary and benefits survey data is available when you need it.
What service do we provide? The club salary surveys we currently run include:
HR Forums Our HR Forums are an easy way for you to exchange views with other HR professionals. They are mainly organised around our club salary surveys so the people who attend are often facing common issues. The Forums usually meet twice a year. Before each meeting we ask for topics to include on the agenda. We then create an online survey around each topic. The meeting is structured around the topics and the results of the survey are presented to stimulate discussion.
