PAYdata provides you with the salary surveys that you need.  Our pay and benefit surveys are designed to make it easy for you to take part and to use the results.  But sometimes you just cannot find the information that you want.  This is where bespoke surveys come in.  You might need a bespoke salary survey to find pay data for a specific role or industry.  Or a bespoke benefits survey to find detailed information on a particular benefit.  Sometimes you might need a more general survey looking at terms and conditions for a group of roles. 

Why can’t you collect this information yourself?  Well sometimes you can but you have to be very careful to meet the legal requirements.  This is where using PAYdata can help because we can collect the data you need in a confidential and robust way that stays on the right side of the law.

What’s involved?

The first step is to agree the questionnaire and the target companies who will complete the survey.  Once we have this in place, we contact each company, usually by telephone, and find the right person to talk to.  If they are interested in the survey we then send them the questionnaire.  We follow up on a regular basis until we get the answers you need.

Once we have the questionnaires back we analyse the data.  As the customer you get a detailed report.  This can highlight any issues the survey raises that relate to your own policy or practice.  You can choose for us to prepare and make a presentation to you and your colleagues.  The other participants all get a summary report to thank them for their time.

This is not a quick process, with the main time taken up with chasing the questionnaire returns.  Typically we reckon a bespoke survey takes around 12 weeks to complete from start to finish, but it can take longer.  This time can be considerably shorter if you are a member of one of our club surveys and you need information from other club members.
